Winrod of Wichita, Kansas and others indicted for sedition during the period 1942-1947. Winrod was one of several persons indicted for alleged seditious conspiracy by the U.S. government which charged the group with siding with Nazi Germany.

Rev. Gerald B. Winrod was a minister of the Christian Missionary Alliance and a publisher of the magazine The Defender. Winrod was indicted in the District Court for the District of Columbia on July 21, 1942 for conspiracy to violate Section 9 of Title 18, U.S. Code, and Section 33 of Title 50, U.S. Code.
